Alltel scoop question...?

Okay, I've been with Alltel for years and haven't had any problems up until last year and now this year!!! To read, I have to wear reading glasses, I can't see my caller id too well to see who is calling me so I use ringtones to know who is calling quickly. I updated to the scoop from the razr and found out I can't make my own ringtones on the scoop, basically because alltel is too greedy and put some kind of blocking software on the new phones so they can charge nearly 3 bucks per ringtone! I like old songs that realtone jukebox doesn't have, plus the songs on realtone jukebox website aren't all on my phone program!!! The reason I got the scoop was it was a good price for an upgrade, which I was due for, and the qwerty keyboard. I'm so disappointed! I can't make my own tones and can't dowload ones I want. Anyone know of another phone simular to the scoop with a hidden keyboard, that will let me use my own ringtones or a way to bypass this stupid software? May take scoop back.

i dont know off any simlar phone that can do what your phone does but
the fact you cant see who is calling you has to do with your phone settings
check it if you can make the font bigger and altel are greedy they should be charging you 3buck per ringtone
